Part time: 15 hours per week plus school holiday work 
Location: Gore Main School, Gore, Southland

Are you a practical, hands-on person with a passion for keeping things in tip-top shape? Do you enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in well-maintained gardens and building? Gore Main School is looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker/Groundskeeper to join our friendly school community.

About the role: This is a part-time position (15 hours per week) with additional hours available during school holidays.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining our immaculate gardens and outdoor spaces, including pruning, weeding and seasonal planting
• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance of school buildings and facilities
• Ensuring our grounds and buildings are safe, clean and well-presented
• Working independelty and with contractors when needed

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Practical, trustworthy and takes pride in their work
• Capable of basic building and property maintenance tasks
• Friendly and able to work around staff and children
• Flexible with hours during school holiday periods
• Health and safety conscious

Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
