the needs of our community?
This role aims to increase access and equity of access to mental health support for people with mild to moderate needs. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering diverse range of strengths-based approaches, cultural practices and working within Pacific models of care that meet the mental health and wellbeing needs of those we work with and their families. Must have an excellent ability to engage and build relationships with clients, families, team members, Iwi, relevant stakeholders and community groups.
The ideal candidate will have case management, programme and community outreach experience. They may hold a relevant tertiary qualification, (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work, Education, Psychology, Counselling, Nursing) or will be committed to working towards a recognised registered qualification. We may consider undergraduates with the right attributes and willingness to upskill.
This position is fixed term, 40 hours per week and based in Oamaru, Waitaki until June 2026.
