An Exciting opportunity has arisen with Age Concern Ashburton for a Steady As You Go Co-Ordinator for the Falls Prevention Programme. 

There are currently 12 Steady As You Go classes operating in the Ashburton District.

The skills required for this position include:

• Passionate about working with the elderly and making a difference
• Ability to teach older people a prescribed strength and balance exercise programme while ensuring their safety and wellbeing in an exercise class.
• An aptitude for developing volunteer leaders.
• Ability to plan and manage time.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Good report writing skills and computer literacy.
• Strong interest in creating supportive environments for older people.

This is a permanent, part-time position with varying hours.
