North Otago Pastoral is a leading provider of products and services to the Rural sector in North Otago & part of the South Canterbury region. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to join our busy team at our Oamaru store.

About the role.

This is a role that combines a range of skills to fit across different parts of the business, where you will be involved in assisting our Seed mixing & Seed treatment team, the instore team and delivering product to our farming clients when required. You will have a keen interest and passion for the agricultural sector and your ability to relate well with clients and colleagues is important. 

A reasonable knowledge of the Agchem & Grain & Seed industry would be an advantage.

This is a full time role, and would perhaps suit someone that is 
interested in learning about the Agricultural industry for the first 
time or someone that has had previous experience, but looking for role that has plenty of variety and or looking to perhaps use this role as a stepping stone to moving on to other roles within store or in the field as a technical field representative. 

Duties & Responsibilities.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in the Rural Sector would be an advantage, but bringing a willing attitude to learning a real bonus.
• Proven computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel & Word.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills.
• Good physical fitness as heavy lifting may be required.    
• A full current and clean New Zealand driver's licence.
• Forklift licence would be an advantage.
• Certificated Chemical Handler Certificate.
• Pre & random drug testing are undertaken.
• Applicant must have the right to work in New Zealand.
