HR & PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

McAlpines is one of North Canterbury’s largest employers with our Rangiora MEGA store and sawmilling and timber processing operations in both the North and South Islands.

We require the services of an HR & Payroll Administrator to be an integral part of the team and to provide administrative support. This is a Permanent, Full Time role Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with processing the fortnightly payroll
  • Assist with maintaining the payroll system
  • Recruitment processes
  • Generating employment agreements and extensions
  • Processing and inducting new starters
  • Daily T&A processing
  • Providing reports and information as required
  • Maintaining records, manuals and templates
  • General Administration

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Strong administration background
  • Previous experience in HR/Payroll preferred
  • Previous experience with Pay Global preferred
  • Great time management skills and attention to details
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • High degree of confidentiality and sensitivity

McAlpines have an active Drug and Alcohol policy in place, a pre-employment drug test and medical will be required.
