At Hurunui District Council, we’re passionate about delivering excellent service to our community, and we’re looking for staff who share that passion.

We have 3 wonderful opportunities for you to join us in Amberley or Cheviot in a Casual Library Assistant/Customer Service role. These positions involve provision of library and council services, working closely with the community and making a positive impact every day.

No two days will be the same. You’ll need to bring patience and tact to the table—along with a smile. We’re looking for people who will stay calm under pressure, are technologically savvy and genuinely enjoy helping others.

Requirements 

• Previous library experience is preferred  
• Customer service experience is essential 
• Excellent technical and computer skills; be able to pick up information quickly and pay attention to detail 
• Bring positivity, confidence and have a cheerful, professional demeanour  
• Be flexible, adaptable and have a driver’s license.
