The Role 

As a Plant Process Operator you will be part of a skilled and dynamic team specializing in the production and manufacturing of nutritional powders. You will be able to operate two or more processes within our plant, providing support across the whole shift.

This is a busy, fast paced role, and is responsible for tending to the following, but is not limited to:  

• Optimizing overall equipment effectiveness and plant performance 
• Ensures adherence to the Risk Management & Validation programs and other certification programs 
• Supports management of SOP’s and other processes and procedures 
• Able to operate two or more processes, as detailed below, within manufacturing with at least one being Milk Reception/Treatment, Wet Mix or Dryer/Evaporation.
  Milk Reception/Treatment 

Milk Reception: responsible for the receipt of incoming raw milk and responsible for the receipt and unloading of oil for Nutritional products. Responsible also for the out load of treated cream.

Milk treatment: responsible for chilling, heat treatment, and the separation process for all incoming milk upon receipt.

Material Handling Technicians/Macro Tipping  

Responsible for, preparing, bag de-outering, and tipping of primarily 25kg to 1000kgs bagged ingredients through the bulk ingredient line, manual, and Opti tip process.

Wet Mix Technicians 

Responsible for preparation of Nutritional oils, Reverse osmosis, the blending and mixing of macro dairy ingredients, micro-ingredients as per the formulation to produce nutritional powders and other commodity products.

Senior Dryer/Evaporator Technicians - Nutritional Experience 
Preferred. Responsible for preparation of Nutritional oils, Reverse osmosis, the blending and mixing of macro dairy ingredients, micro-ingredients as per the formulation to produce nutritional powders and other commodity products. 

We are particularly interested to hear from individuals who have: 

• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills 
• Proven mechanical and technical aptitude and knowledge 
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills 
• The ability to use initiative, are dynamic and proactive 
• A high degree of computer literacy and are able to understand processes and systems 
• Great interpersonal skills and are a team player 
• A commitment to quality which is second to none 
• Experience in quality systems and procedures 
• The ability to fault find and support optimization initiatives

This is shift work and these vacancies are physical roles that may require daily manual handling of ingredients.
