Maintenance Manager

This position is a key role within the Operations team and works closely with Production and Quality to ensure plant reliability, operational efficiency, asset integrity, and food safety are maintained to a high standard.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities across electrical mechanical automation and site services teams.
• Ensure preventative predictive and corrective maintenance work is effectively planned scheduled and completed through the maintenance management system.
• Manage and plan winter shutdown maintenance activities including coordination of internal resources and external contractors.
• Maintain accurate asset records maintenance documentation and spare parts systems in accordance 
  with site standards.
• Work closely with production schedules and facilitate the daily management system to support reliable plant operation.
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement solutions using structured problem solving and root cause analysis techniques.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with site safety quality and operational standards.
• Provide technical leadership across mechanical electrical and automation systems to support safe and reliable plant performance.
• Identify engineering improvement opportunities and develop business cases that support long term asset performance and operational capability.
• Support the development of 1 year 3 year and 5-year capital investment plans.
• Ensure site documentation engineering standards and system records are maintained and accurate.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practice engineering methods to strengthen reliability and operational performance. 
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
• Develop, oversee, and deliver on engineering budgets.

Essential Experience:

• Minimum Mechanical or Electrical trade certificate or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance teams.
• Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance activities in an industrial environment.
• Competency in computerised systems including CMMS quality systems and health and safety systems.
• Strong organisational planning and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience in Budget development and management.
