Neurodiversity Navigator

Long-term contract work

Pivotal Point Charitable Trust is looking for a neurodiversity navigator for up to 25 hours per week, 48 weeks per annum. The successful applicant will need to be based in or near Queenstown, with the ability to travel to Frankton when required to support in-person activities. 

The role includes assisting with Pivotal Point’s navigation service and parent support group. You’ll be joining a small, passionate and supportive team committed to improving 
outcomes for neurodivergent tamariki, with full training provided. 

You will have: 

  • Experience with tamariki and/or their whanau 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • The ability to build positive relationships 
  • A warm and professional manner across phone and video conferencing  interactions as well as in person 
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality 
  • Exceptional time-management skills 
  • A high level of written language 
  • Great computer skills 
  • A high level of professionalism 
  • A genuine interest in increasing your understanding and knowledge of neurodiversity

A background from a relevant field, such as social work or education, is preferred but not essential.
