OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

This contract position is based in Wanaka where you will be supporting the Aircraft Owners’ and Pilots’ Association NZ Charitable Trust (AOPA).  See https://thinkaviation.nz for more information.

Work from home as a contractor, your own computer and mobile supplied and report to the Trust Chairman.  From 10 hours work per week initially, increasing to 20 thereafter.  You must be a permanent NZ resident. 

Tasks:

  • Implement and promote the Trust’s Strategic Plan whilst maintaining relationships with nationwide aviation and business networks.
  • Manage the Trust’s online presence, databases, website and donor portal.  Assist in the application for grants and funds.
  • Take meeting minutes and manage XERO.
  • Send newsletters via Mailchimp, send media releases and create marketing collateral.
  • Manage and market the Trust’s scholarships and Intern programmes.
  • Manage Friends of AOPA NZ Charitable Trust and liaise with members.
  • All general office functions.  Phone supplied but a suitable computer and printer is your responsibility.

Skills required:

  • A working knowledge of Google products, Gmail, Docs and Sheets
  • All systems are cloud based. 
  • Essential to be able to self-manage time and work priorities
  • Quality responses required for phone and email queries
