(Ashburton-based) 1FTE.

The purpose of the Mana Ake Kaimahi role is to promote and foster improved wellbeing for children and whanau in the Ashburton region. This role focuses on early intervention, 
supporting children aged 5–12 years to build emotional resilience and wellbeing within the contexts of their schools, whanau and communities. 

The successful applicant will: 

  • Work directly with children, whanau and schools to provide culturally responsive, strengths-based and evidence-informed interventions  
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, school staff and community partners to enable positive, measurable outcomes and support children and whanau to thrive and 
    excel. 
  • Deliver culturally responsive support that reflects the values, identities and strengths of children and whanau.  
  • Hold a current NZ driver’s licence and be eligible to work in NZ.  
  • Be expected to promote healthy practice, including immunisation, and to model healthy choices.
