Retail Assistant Manager

Alexandra New World is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-
paced retail environment, supporting the day-to-day operations of our Grocery, Dairy, and Freezer departments.

At Alexandra New World, we pride ourselves on delivering 
excellent customer service and fostering a supportive, inclusive team environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the management and supervision of staff across the Grocery, Dairy, and Freezer departments 
  • Support product buying and stock management within these departments 
  • Liaise with company representatives and suppliers during store visits 
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven people management experience 
  • Confidence working with computer systems (experience with Foodstuffs SAP is an advantage) 
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, high-energy environment 
  • Must be physically fit and able to comfortably lift up to 15kg as part of daily duties 
  • This role offers the opportunity to grow within the business and further develop leadership and operational skills.

Role Details: 

  • Days of Work: Sunday to Thursday 
  • Hours and Start date: To be discussed during the application process
