Primary and intermediate (Years 1-8) (.5 teaching component) - Acting Principal vacancy.

Runanga School is a small, well-resourced rural school situated 12 minutes from Greymouth.

We urgently need an experienced principal or an aspiring principal who is keen to step into principalship, and is based on the West Coast, to hold the reins while we go through the process of looking for the right candidate to be our next principal.

You will work with a wonderful group of Year 6 to 8 students.

To support you in your role as a teaching principal there is a
0.5 principal release teacher, a dedicated, experienced team
of support staff, support staff, supportive parents and a
commissioner. Our school is part of a local cluster of schools where we have opportunities for collaborative learning and to benefit from the support of the wider Greymouth school principals.

We are looking for an acting principal that will:

• Have a current NZ Teacher registration and appropriate
  qualifications
• Have experience in multi-level classroom teaching, across all areas of the curriculum
• Be visible within and beyond the school grounds
• Is relatable and a great networker, keen to engage with the
  community
• Lead by example by being an approachable, open
  communicator with staff, students and whanau
