About Graymont

Graymont is a global leader in lime and limestone solutions. Lime is a versatile industrial chemical that is key to vital industrial processes and applications and is an essential element for addressing a multitude of complex environmental challenges.

Our Role

Located at our Makareao processing plant, the Quarry Operator will be involved in a wide range of activities around the extraction and production of quality lime.

This position will require you to perform:

  • Loading and hauling
  • Crushing and screening
  • Basic maintenance
  • Collect and test samples in the lab for quality assurance.

With development support to be provided from our internal network of experienced Operations team members, we need a candidate who can work constructively with others in the field to positively influence others and help achieve our goals.

The ability to learn, build positive relationships, organize information and take action are key skills needed to improve plant performance. Required are a valid driver’s license 1-2 and F&W endorsements. Current Manufacturing-related tickets and licensing will be advantageous; however, we will support the right candidate to obtain these. NZ right to work essential.

Our Workplace

Graymont derives its competitive edge in large part from more than 1,600 employees who have diverse skills and energy to work every day at offices and plant sites across North America and Asia-Pacific. Every one of our engineers, accountants, plant managers, production workers, safety professionals and
many other professionals contribute, as individuals and as team members, to meeting the needs of our customers. We are all included in making a difference to help improve our world. With decarbonization as a key strategy, there are opportunities for our employees to engage in climate-action initiatives, and we
will support employee participation in local carbon-reduction projects.
