The South Otago Health Support Trust (SOHST) assists individuals and families in the Clutha District to obtain urgent healthcare through the use of a voucher system administered by the Trust. 

The SOHST is inviting applications from persons to become a trustee who have a strong local passion to help others. This position calls for commitment to attend monthly meetings, ability to check correspondence & respond in a timely manner, assist 
with decision making and represent the trust at formal occasions when required. The time commitment for the role would be approximately 2 hours per month throughout the year. 

Ideally, successful applicants will have a strong financial background, good communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with other trustees, be empathetic decision makers, and have high confidentiality standards. A sound knowledge of the health system would be beneficial but not essential.
