Waikaia School is seeking a caring and committed Teacher Aide to join our supportive team. This fixed-term position is for 5 days per week during term time and involves working alongside teachers to support the learning and wellbeing of our tamariki.

We are a small rural school with strong community values and a positive, inclusive culture.

The successful applicant will:

• Work collaboratively with teachers to support students in their learning
• Show empathy and build positive relationships with children
• Be flexible, reliable, and proactive
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ideally have previous experience as a Teacher Aide (though not essential)

Start date is Monday, 2nd of February 2026. Remuneration will be in line with the Teacher Aide Pay Equity Settlement.
