We are looking for a vineyard all-rounder that is a hands-on team player, for the supervision and support of the day-to-day vineyard activities of the team.  

About the role: 

The Vineyard Supervisor is responsible for: 

• Canopy management, planting, cultivation /weeding, pruning, bud rubbing, shoot thinning, wire lifting, bunch thinning, harvesting grapes and ensuring the selection of relevant grapes 
• This role includes directly supervising employees and contract labour and ensuring all employees and contractors are meeting quality parameters with the help of vineyard management.  
• Pruning/vine training with the team. Pruning technique is very important as this affects the overall crop of grapes. 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: 

• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to motivate the team and good time management skills 
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently 
• Respectful of our environment, keeping environmental 
  consciousness at the fore front of processes 
• Previous experience operating machinery (tractors etc) is 
  desirable
