About the role

Want a job that’s genuinely local and makes a difference in Ashburton each week? We’re looking for someone to join the Ashburton Courier, a trusted community paper that’s been part of the district for 40 years and is still growing. You’ll be part of a small, friendly local team, helping local businesses get the best results through print and digital advertising.

The role is based in Ashburton and a full driver’s license is required.

What you’ll be doing

• Building strong relationships with local businesses and organisations
• Helping customers choose advertising that suits their goals and budget
• Creating and booking print and digital advertising campaigns
• Looking after customers with great follow-up and service
• Be part of a local team that cares about the community

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from a wide range of people. You don’t need to tick every box, but you will need sales experience.

• Sales experience (any industry). If you enjoy helping customers and achieving results, we’d love to hear from you.
• Confident, friendly communication skills (in person, phone, and email)
• Customer focused and proud to provide great service
• Organised and reliable, with good time management
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

What we offer

• Base salary + Commission scheme + KiwiSaver.

• Monday to Friday role, based in Ashburton, no weekend work.
