ACADS has 32 hours per week position available for a qualified counsellor. This position will be working with young people. 

We are looking for someone to work in a well-supported team environment. In return we can offer you the opportunity to make a difference in young people’s lives while you develop your career in the mental health and addictions field. 

You will need some experience and qualification in Mental Health and Addiction Counselling, Social Work or similar. 

The ideal person would have the following skills and experience: 

• Experience working with young people 
• Great communication skills 
• Excellent record keeping skills 
• Ability to work well as part of a friendly and supportive team 
• Have good communication skills 
• Experience and knowledge of treatment modalities. 

You will have the opportunity for self-expression and a high level of satisfaction in empowering young people in managing their 
own wellbeing. 

You will have full registration with a professional body (dapaanz, nursing, social work, counselling, psychology or related 
fields).
