Service Technician within the Petroleum Industry

The role would involve dealing with service stations, unmanned fuel sites, oil facilities and Electrical installation of new/upgrade builds. The work and locations are varied and would span both electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance and installation on all types of fuel and oil equipment plus general electrical work.

Skills required:

  • Hold a current NZ Electrical Practicing Licence with hands-on electrical experience
  • Have a mechanical background and enjoy keeping equipment operational;
  • Experience in the fuels industry would be ideal, but training will be provided;
  • Hold a clean full NZ Drivers Licence;
  • Have great customer service skills and enjoy exceeding customer expectations;
  • Be proactive, independent and use good judgement;
  • To have a working style that promotes a safe working environment;
  • To be fit and healthy and able to complete our pre-employment medical and drug screening;
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills;
  • The ability to work in a sole charge operation, with remote support;
  • Available for immediate start

About the role:
This is an on-farm role where you will provide top quality technical sales advice and service to our many clients. As a Sales Representative you will be involved in the day to day management of your client calls. You will have a keen interest and passion for the agricultural sector and your ability to relate well with clients and colleagues is important.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The ability to identify client needs and recommend the appropriate products and services.
  • Process sales and product requests, assist clients, colleagues and suppliers to answer queries and resolve problems.
  • Assist the store manager with regular administration tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven computer and administration skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous retail and sales experience an advantage.
  • Good physical ?tness as heavy lifting may be required.
  • A full current and clean New Zealand drivers’ licence.
  • Forklift licence would be an advantage.
