Overview Almax Industries Ltd is an Oamaru based wholesale distribution company selling painting industry products and hardware lines to resellers throughout New Zealand. These resellers are a mixture of national hardware and paint chains and independent paint, trade and engineering resellers. The Role • To be responsible to answer incoming phone calls as part of a team • Record telephone orders straight into the customer data base while speaking to the customer • Responsible for printing off emailed orders and checking for correct Item codes and quantities • Assist warehouse staff at peak times in picking and packing orders or checking off incoming stock and putting it away • Performing regular stock take of certain product ranges and marking stock into cartons or shelf locations • To be responsible for the correct labelling and barcoding of all products Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager Hours of work • 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch. • Alternative start time and lunch break may be negotiated but not finishing time Qualities and abilities required • The successful candidate must possess the ability to quickly learn about the products we sell • Full training will be given, but a person with a bent towards hardware and painting equipment will be likely to find it easier to understand our products • An excellent telephone speaking manner is essential and the ability to relate to the many different callers is very important • Physical fitness is necessary to be able to assist in the warehouse • Fast and accurate computer typing skills are essential Remuneration • An attractive annual salary will be offered to the successful candidate along with a monthly bonus based on exceeding company sales targets • Annual salary review Prospect for advancement • The successful candidate will have the prospect of advancing to our Sales and Business Development Team or into Marketing Future developments for Almax Industries Ltd • We will be moving into new, purpose built premises in Oamaru within two years and this will provide top quality working conditions with plenty of room for growth • Future job opportunities include logistics, web and social media marketing, sales and business development, accountancy and management How to apply • Apply by email including your CV and references to: ross.bishop@almax.co.nz • Closing date for applications is 31 October 2017. • Commencement date is 1 December 2017 or by negotiation.
